We Can Do Anything - As Long As We Set Our Mind To It.

Fake Fact.png

One of the biggest lies that societies has programmed us - is that we are only able to do what we are good at, and as consumers, we just buy into this hogwash - believing that we are unable to pickup skills beyond what we are able to accomplish.

For me, I don’t subscribe to this even a single bit - especially assumptions about a person’s competency because of their current skillsets. Even we are unable to do it now, it does not mean that the skills are out of reach - beyond our skill sets.

I think in this new age economy, our ability to learn and grow beyond our current skillsets and competency will determine our growth and our happiness.

Once upon a time, I too felt that creativity was something beyond me - and my flair to design and create content would be limited to just words (since I enjoy reading and writing), plus my photography and editing skills were way too amateurish back then.

But a big part of my life is my willingness to experiment and constantly hone my skillsets - challenge myself to pursue new passions and get my creative juices kicking. I believe strongly that our 100th attempt will be way better than our initial attempts.

This photoshoot done in Malaysia, in an attempt to cover more Food Cafes, was a fun experience whereby I got to experience trying out new photoshoot style, and push my editing skills further. Many friends who complain that their life is mundane, should seriously consider pushing themselves to experience new crafts which would open up their world to a brand new experience.

Friends who are embarking on a new journey - be it exploring new business opportunities, trying out new marketing avenues or perhaps a job promotion - our mental resilience and a can-do attitude is our greatest asset as well.

In order for us to experience the positives from every life change, we need to train our minds. It is a well proven fact that we usually have a tendency to gravitate towards the drawbacks of all situations, such as the Covid-19 situation.

Beyond all the gloom and doom, I believe these setbacks are here to enable everyone to think about practicing greater hygiene, as well as demonstrate compassion for our frontline officers ranging from healthcare to customer service officers.

This is one of my favourite all time quote so far - both freedom and happiness is not free, and we will be able to attain them as long we set our mind to pay the price necessary.

As we wonder in life, please do not buy into society’s song and dance about our abilities - stretch ourselves and reimagine our lives in any shape and form, because our true potential is limitless. Mediocrity is aplenty, let’s set ourselves apart.
