The first video I recorded about sales, did not sell. It sucked.

Selling Instantly.png

Imagine a video about sales, not selling well. That was pretty much experience with my first video.

I remember that I had this burning desire to begin the journey of recording videos to share about my sales journey around the tail end of year 2018.

Driven by passion, I went to invest in a brand new Olympus Camera and enlisted the help of my partner to be my camera crew, and within a matter of weeks - my first video was released on 3rd October 2018.

Sharing the video out onto the internet, I had high hopes for the video, after all I had poured out my heart and soul to teach people how they too can experience the joy of selling instantly.

But the truth is that, the first video had so much room for improvement - I was camera conscious, wayward and completely fumbled with my lines. It didn’t help that my video editing skills was absolutely horrid back then, and the background sound was not helping my case at all. (YouTube Video link: http://bit.ly/howtoinstantclose2018)

Netizens didn’t respond well to the video as well, and some even left somewhat hurtful feedback about the video (either through private messages or via YouTube comments).

I could have stopped producing videos then, but I believe strongly that our 1st try in anything will never be as good as our 100th try, and it is truly a matter of practice, and consistent attempts that will improve the delivery quality.

True enough, many attempts later, my first ever video for 2019 released via my LinkedIn, experienced over 3000 over views with over 122 engagements and multiple re-shares (check out the video here: http://bit.ly/B2BMarketingVideo).

This is just one of the countless number of different experiences that taught me never to give up despite negative comments, but rather use them as a form of constructive feedback to keep improving.

It is a true testament of our ability, if we win our detractors over by our determination as well as our overwhelming commitment to be winners in the game of life.

Don’t give up, and keep pushing forward. This is how we win in life as fellow wonderers.
